Thanks to everyone who took part. Entry fees raised just over £80 for the PTFA.
The PTFA is holding a virtual fell race this Easter so that you can all run off those extra pounds after the Easter Bunny’s visit and donate some pounds to the PTFA at the same time!
The “race” is all virtual and run in your own time in April 2021 and logged thanks to the wonders of modern technology. All you need is a smartphone and an app to participate.
There is a choice of 3 courses for children and adults of all ages and abilities. It’s all for fun and not intended as a serious race or time trial, but times will be published once the event is closed at the end of April and children will receive a certificate with their time. This is all about taking part, having a go and getting out in the fresh air!
The “Rabbit” route is intended for YR-Y2 and is just under 2k.
The “Hare” route is just a little further for Y3-Y6 and clocks in at 3.5k.
The “Mountain Goat” is intended for older siblings and adults and is just under 8k with a climb up to Stanedge Edge and back.
There’s a small donation required for each entry (£2 per entry for the Rabbit and Hare routes, £3 for the Mountain Goat) with all proceeds going to the PTFA. Click the links above to enter and donate using your debit or credit card.
Thanks and credit to the MapRun team as well as Oliver O’Brien at OpenOrienteeringMap for creating some great (and free to use) mapping and scoring software. Buy Oliver a coffee or donate to MapRun .
Please do read the terms and disclaimer when making a donation to enter. This event is unmarked, unsupported and run in your own time at your own risk!
Most importantly though; get running and have fun!
